1. Becky’s Teaching It’s an unusually complex lesson that mixes history and numbers (?). Is this also something you need to become a genius? 2. Direct Hit from a Tub When Igarashi-sensei pulls a rope, a tub falls from the ceiling. Tubs come from “*****ji da yo! Zen’in shūgō”, from where they have become as staple jokes in skits. For that reason, it's not that surprising that they are set up in the classroom. 3. Miyako’s Studying As the textbook of “Modern Japanese” is self-explanatory, just to what subject do you study with a book called “Tribe Rituals of ***ang People”? Also, there’s a visibly suspicious publisher’s name “Minmei Shobou” on one of the books. Maybe the reason why Miyako’s results aren’t that outstanding is because there’s a problem with the choice of reference books. 4. Miyako’s Studying Part 2 The phrase written here is “Who Killed Cock Robin”, which is a line from the British nursery rhyme Mother Goose. Really, what subject do you study with this... 5. Mesousa’s Friend Ichijou made this piece of junk, which has a more extreme form in episode 10. Perhaps Mesousa thought it was better not to talk about it when everyone was talking about pajamas. 6. Superhuman from Mikawa: Tokugawa Ieyasu In the manga where appears seven balls that can grant any kind of wish, there’s a person called "Super **iyan". Maybe thinking this way makes studying for exams much more enjoyable. | 12. But right after that, from a lottery that looks like Kamen R*der’s transformation belt, he wins the jackpot of having the right to become live bait! ...if you could call that a jackpot, though. 13. Variety of sweets There’s a lot of sweets brought for the study meeting. If you look closely, you’ll see familiar animals on the chocolate ball packaging 14. Becky looks frightened in Ka**o Umezu’s style, which is a callback to a manga where a classroom drifts away. 25 yo – Colour Design The fourth episode, featuring the yukata and pajamas, was a fun one for me as I was in charge of deciding the colours. Costume Department had made a yukata for Becky, but it didn't appear in the actual episode, which was pretty depressing. But I was happy when they had added it to ending credits. By the way, Ichijou is the only one who wears a different pair of pajamas than the other characters, and her futon is also of a different color. Editing When I was editing the aerial battle scene in episode 2, I was careful not to let down the overall tempo. We also paid careful attention to the tempo in the scene where Class D makes their big escape. I was surprised at the real culprit too. I hope you will watch carefully, including the foreshadowing. |
