Pani Poni Dash is a 2005 anime by Shaft, directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and Shin Oonuma. It was ranked as the 1st best anime of 2005 in 2ch's Best Anime Ranking and as the 3rd best anime of all time in TV Asahi's viewer's choice of Top 100 Japanese animation television series of all time in 2006 (archived link). This site was created out of sheer love towards Pani Poni Dash! From its slapstick comedy to its references, PPD has an early-to-mid 2000s charm and unique visual style that makes it one of a kind. As the series was already popular prior to the adaptation, a lot of extra content was released for the anime. However, many of this content has been left untranslated and is nowadays obscure. This site provides background information and additional stories regarding PPD through translated guidebooks and interviews from the production staff. Other works by Pani Poni manga author Hekiru Hikawa will be highlighted as well. This site is here to give recognition to PPD as one of the best and most important anime that was produced in early-to-mid 2000s. The site is best viewed on Personal Computers.
