晴天をほめるには日没を待て
Idiom Explanation | Even if it's sunny now, it doesn't mean it will stay sunny until sunset. The meaning is that you never know how things will turn out until the very end. TL note: The idiom is literally in Japanese "Wait until sunset to praise today's weather". |

In episode 4, the rhythm and tempo of the conversations are well-paced, Kurumi is cute, and there are hot springs and sauna for your heart’s content. The mysterious images that appear at key points are very hilarious. |

1. Becky’s Teaching It’s an unusually complex lesson that mixes history and numbers (?). Is this also something you need to become a genius? 2. Direct Hit from a TubWhen Igarashi-sensei pulls a rope, a tub falls from the ceiling. Tubs come from “*****ji da yo! Zen’in shūgō”, from where they have become as staple jokes in skits. For that reason, it's not that surprising that they are set up in the classroom. 3. Miyako’s StudyingAs the textbook of “Modern Japanese” is self-explanatory, just to what subject do you study with a book called “Tribe Rituals of ***ang People”? Also, there’s a visibly suspicious publisher’s name “Minmei Shobou” on one of the books. Maybe the reason why Miyako’s results aren’t that outstanding is because there’s a problem with the choice of reference books. 4. Miyako’s Studying Part 2The phrase written here is “Who Killed Cock Robin”, which is a line from the British nursery rhyme Mother Goose. Really, what subject do you study with this... 5. Mesousa’s FriendIchijou made this piece of junk, which has a more extreme form in episode 10. Perhaps Mesousa thought it was better not to talk about it when everyone was talking about pajamas. 6. Today on the Space ShipThe letters on the electronic billboard read “Straw Millionaire... Nothing tastes bad on an empty stomach”, which is unexpectedly low in this work’s reference difficulty. But the disorganized nature of the Captain's exercise routine (exercise bike, hanging machine, body blade, etc.) that appears afterwards is more concerning. | 7. I hope you die desperately begging for your life! Miyako howls at the moon many times in this episode, but this is the most impactful one. Her vigorous scream nearly breaks the mic. 8. Behoimi AppearanceIt’s the usual Behoimi Appearance joke. This time she’s like a space knight battling War **ster*. Lord Cat being the battle robot Pe**s is worth to notice. *TL note: In Japanese "ワル○スター", I don't know what it's referring to. 9. Lodge Club’s Classroom (?)Estimated size: 10 tatami mats. When considering tatami and tokonoma, it’s even larger. On the hanging scroll is the phrase "A Bottle of Love" , which is the famous catchphrase for Ti*vita drink. 10. Himeko’s Great EruptionLooking at Becky’s article made Himeko’s brains explode. The picture appearing here is Fine Wind, Clear Morning, one part from Katsushika Hokusai’s Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series. By the way, the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji has in total 46 parts. Apparently, the series was so popular it got later 10 more parts. Master himself was also pretty careless. 11. Superhuman from Mikawa: Tokugawa IeyasuIn the manga where appears seven balls that can grant any kind of wish, there’s a person called "Super **iyan". Maybe thinking this way makes studying for exams much more enjoyable. | 12. Slightly Warm Cola Once again, Mesousa gets a juice with body temperature from a vending machine, but this time he doesn’t mind it. But right after that, from a lottery that looks like Kamen R*der’s transformation belt, he wins the jackpot of having the right to become live bait! ...if you could call that a jackpot, though. 13. Variety of sweetsThere’s a lot of sweets brought for the study meeting. If you look closely, you’ll see familiar animals on the chocolate ball packaging 14. Brazil inside Himeko’s HeadWhen the figure of Brazilian horned frog is brought up, Himeko starts to imagine Brazil on her own peculiar way. But the factual Brazil appears in episode 9. 15. Toy DuckThe Duck Village Mayor from the TV program THE TETSU** DASH is in this kind of a place. Should have been just a little closer to the screen edge! 16. Suddenly it’s like from a WesternImmediately after Miyako shouts the angry roar “If you ever get behind me like that again, you’ll die!” on the weight scale, a detailed scene with a gunman pops up. After this, several scenes reminiscent of Western films appear 17. Leaving the Lodge Club...The whole area is surrounded by sand dunes! Becky looks frightened in Ka**o Umezu’s style, which is a callback to a manga where a classroom drifts away. After this, confused students shout above the rooftop, "Let us become birds and return to the place where our mother is!" ...which is a scene that never came to be. Development Study |
| Cola Gives Transparency Opening the can, all the Cola spurted out made Rei's shirt revealing. Moreover, how much Coke would it take to make the whole body transparent? Weight Gain Considering how in the TV version Miyako (&Kurumi) weighed 73 kg, it looked mroe like she had lost significantly weight in the TV version. Maybe you can guess their real weight somehow? |

Darn Becky, don’t just suddenly say “There’s test tomorrow”! It can’t be helped, and I have to study for the exam until tomorrow. At that time, Kurumi and No. 6 asked me to help them with studying, and before I knew it, helping had turned into an overnight study session! Eventually, I got dragged into staying overnight with others from school, but everyone was just relaxing and didn’t study at all! Do that somewhere where I’m not involveeeed! Don't drag me into your lazy, unplanned, unhealthy Entertainment District Lifeeee!. |

25 yo – Colour Design The fourth episode, featuring the yukata and pajamas, was a fun one for me as I was in charge of deciding the colours. Costume Department had made a yukata for Becky, but it didn't appear in the actual episode, which was pretty depressing. But I was happy when they had added it to ending credits. By the way, Ichijou is the only one who wears a different pair of pajamas than the other characters, and her futon is also of a different color. Editing When I was editing the aerial battle scene in episode 2, I was careful not to let down the overall tempo. We also paid careful attention to the tempo in the scene where Class D makes their big escape. I was surprised at the real culprit too. I hope you will watch carefully, including the foreshadowing. |

WHAT? SASUKE? One drink, which has reached a cult status, had a CM with fantastical and dramatic action scenes, featuring these lines. Although it tried to compete with Cola, its stylish taste was carried to extremes, which lead it quickly disappearing. Rumour has it that it was even used as a penalty in punishment games. They’re just for show anyway. Even the honorable ones won’t notice it. The phrase means that "Even without legs, the M* used in space can perform at 100%" And, although it’s probably to console him, I think the Colonel can handle it. Let’s go all out! In a certain RPG popular nationwide, this is the name of the strategy, which is used to instruct the battle plan to your allies. It’s a tremendous strategy, where you don’t hesitate spending MP to cast spell, nor give mercy to the enemies you’re slaughtering. The monthly magazine "Shonen Gangan" originates from this phrase. I’M DYING FATHER COME HOME This joke parodies the standard telegram seen in manga and other media: "FATHER IS DYING COME HOME NOW" (父危篤 スグカエレ). That said, telegrams aren’t used that much anymore... It’s fundamental for these jokes to have different variations such as "FATHER IS STRANGE" (父奇特). Don’t do that PAW thing! The two Latinian brothers who grow huge by picking mushrooms were in a game at the early days of Fa**con, which had a block for tight spots called "POW". "PAW" is a spelling mistake, and the correct letters are noted in episode 8. Obake no Rock’n’Roll A passage from a duet by Hiro** Go and Kirin Ki**. Appearing as an insert song in the comedy drama M** (its sequel The Moo Family appears later on the chalkboard), it became a huge hit. The lyrics themselves were dark, but the catchy rhythm made it a hit. Keep on Going ~♪ Keep on Going ~♪ You all ~♪ The song is familiar from a commercial for a game about how somewhere some kings were pummeling and warring. It's a fairly resolute RPG, where the outcome is left up to chance (I think), and if you lose, it's all game over. But even so, kids back then were all fired up... Hit it 256 times? That’s impossible, don’t you think? There existed a rumor for an arcade-original vertically scrolling shooter, which took the gaming industry by storm, that if you fired 256 bullets, you could destroy the floating obstacle Vacu**. What a vicious rumour. |
